August Update 2019

Happy 1-year Anniversary!!

Our Laundry Love program is 1 year old!!!! Let’s eat some cake!

You may not realize that Capture the Vision offers other support to the community along with our Laundry Love program. We continue to provide housing and other support for a single mom, with the coordination efforts of Steve Melcher we partner with Pueblo West High School to distribute hygiene supplies and the IOF Foresters who supply Cadillac packs for homeless veterans, a 4-H club called STEAM PUNKS creates survival packs for those living on the streets from supplies we have collected, we have begun our teacher school supplies program, and have raised enough money to fully fund two Laundry Love events per month. We are grateful to our supporters, sponsors, partners, and volunteers. Our success is truly a community effort; our team is made up of business owners, churches, and clubs and represents ages from high school students, college students, young adults, retirees, and more. It is amazing to see so many individuals that would not normally connect, coming together to help those in need to become thriving members of society. We can never say thank you enough for joining us on this amazing journey! Because of you, we provide CRITICAL services such as clean laundry so that families can go to WORK, attend SCHOOL, and live life with DIGNITY. We are passionate about Pueblo! We are community driven! We are an all-volunteer team!

We continue to believe that we WILL find a solution to meet the need for SHOWERS, create a long-term and sustainable FAMILY HYGIENE program, and sponsor Pueblo City School TEACHERS with necessary supplies. Please contact us if you are interested in planning, supporting, or leading in one of these areas. Individuals with open minds and CREATIVE ideas are key to finding SOLUTIONS for unsolvable problems, TOGETHER we will do great things!
Our Goals: family hygiene program, shower program, supplies for teachers, & team building

At the August Laundry Love we were excited to welcome a new volunteer that is a community leader for Pueblo’s westside. We look forward to developing and building relationships with each and every community that is part of the city of Pueblo.
